Nate & Lyndsey Say I Do!

So I have been doing alot of work behind the scenes… and am wicked excited to get back to sharing some of my favorite images from the past season!  Let’s get started with Nate and Lyndsey’s lovely north shore wedding:) We began the day at Lyndsey’s parents house in Essex and I loved capturing both the beautiful details and interactions of the bridal party.  The trolly is always a fun choice for wedding transportation and of course I love a classic new england church complete with an emotional walk down the asile…  Enjoy and check back tomorrow for the gorgeous reception!

The highlight of my summer!

Sometimes I over think things…  and this post has been written about a million times in my head and to be honest I am ready to move past this awful habit of trying to make things perfect and just be myself.  So I am just going to share what’s been on my mind lately.  First of all moving is tough!  Secondly, I cannot believe it has taken me months to officially share about the most difficult and rewarding experience of my photographic career thus far!  It took me over a year to save up enough money and courage to attend the roots workshop on Cape Cod… and it was worth every penny and every tear!!!  Really there aren’t words to express my gratitude to my instructors, fellow students and Shawn and the rest of the crew at Vec Surfboards!  For two whole days I was given complete access to document Shawn’s story and found much more than a lesson on surfboard shaping.  Rarely have I met anyone so fully committed to being present in each moment.  It immediately took me back to a wilderness experience I had in college where we were reminded to always “be here now.”  It’s easy to fall back into just existing rather than living the abundant life to which we are called!  And sometimes it’s nice to be reminded of that:) I was also inspired by his commitment to put his daughter first and to maintain his connection with the water that led him to start a surfing business in the first place…  definitely something I am keeping in mind as I build a business of my own.  So without further ado…  here is what I saw in those two days.

Meet Jordan!

So many dear friends have commented about the lack of content in recent weeks that I had to break the silence and share an image from a recent senior session.  I met Jordan about 3 years ago and have really loved watching her mature into a truly beautiful woman inside and out!  This session was such a blast because she has an amazing eye for fashion and embraced the opportunity to show off several different sides of her personality…  So to change things up a little I have included just a teaser here and you can see more from her session on the Samantha Bohall Photography facebook page.  Enjoy!

Kevin + Sarah – Together Session

It’s been awhile… and there is a ton of great stuff coming your way!  Let’s jump right in with Kevin and Sarah’s together session.  It’s always fun to hear couples’ stories and significant places that serve as the backdrop to their love story.  For these two it’s Crane Beach and that is exactly where we spent several hours one evening in May…  Enjoy!

Ways I keep up with life!

At any given moment my mind is filled with so many things to remember… from the mundane to the critical.  I’m sure you have a similar list of calls to make, errands to run, meals to plan… and then I try to remember books I want to read, projects I want to tackle, clothing pieces that I am waiting to go on sale (or find something similar and more affordable), the name of that sofa that fit both John and I – which is definitely something worth remembering  :)  I think you get the idea.  At the same time I have a distinct aversion to random notes and paper clutter.  Well imagine my joy and delight when I found the online version of a pinboard called “pinterest.”  Each pin includes a picture and link to the original item (brilliant!)…  Sometimes I pin something to help me remember, sometimes to help me dream – or a combination of the two  :)  Right now I am using it primarily to collect ideas for a home… but pinterest could also be useful in planning a wedding, etc.  It’s just too good not to share so if you would like an invitation let me know!

Happy Pinning!
